Arçelik-LG Klima Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded on the 25th of May, 1999, in order to produce air conditioners for domestic and export markets. Arçelik A.Ş. and LG Electronics are %50 to %50 partners in Arçelik-LG company. The company established its production facilities with an initial $50 millions investment in Gebze Industrial District, Kocaeli, Turkey.

Arçelik-LG has production facilities over 70.000 m² total area (enclosed area is  55.000 m²).  The company is the first and the biggest AC producer in Turkey. Arçelik-LG has the biggest production facilities of Near East and Europe with annual capacity of 3 million sets of RAC production capacity (3 shifts). With new investments, the company has been increasing the production capacity and product range every year.

Arçelik-LG designs and manufactures its products within its own facilities, in accordance with the requirements of target markets. Product range consists of,

• RAC products between 7.000 – 25.000 Btu/h capacities,
• PAC, Cassette type, Ceiling Floor type and Ducted type split air conditioners between 18.000 – 48.000 Btu/h capacities,
• Inverter multi products between 18.000 – 52.000 Btu/h capacities,
• VRS multi systems, heat recovery systems and various indoor unit alternatives for different places between 4 HP – 64 HP capacities,
• Water cooled VRS multi systems, heat recovery systems and various indoor unit alternatives for different places between 8 HP – 60 HP capacities,
• Air to water heat pump technology.

Arçelik-LG has established its manufacturing systems according to international standards and proved the successful adaptation of these standards to its system with ISO 9001 in 2001, ISO 14001 in 2003 and OHSAS 18001 in 2005. Arçelik-LG products also has certifications of international standardization organizations like TSE and TUV. Production process in Arçelik-LG is done in conformity with RoHS and REACH Directives which restricts the use of hazardous substances in electrical equipment. Waste water is is purified in biologic and industrial refinement facilities in order to avoid environmental pollution and to improve the quality of waste water. Wastes are managed from creation to elimination process under strict control and sent to the authorized institutions for recycling or elimination processes.

Arçelik-LG shows its fast growth and improvement by being in the ascendant in the courses of big companies in Turkey. In the course of ISO 500, the biggest companies, in which Arçelik-LG entered in 2004 in the 184th place, the company has got the 98th place by the end of 2007 becoming one of the 100 biggest companies and by the end of 2008 the company continued its rise by taking the 78th place. In addition to this success, according to 2008 throughput the company has taken the 91st place in Fortune 500 course, 107th place in Capital 500 course and 64th place in TİM course. Arçelik-LG has also became the leader of the AC sector in the course of sectors in all of these institutions.

Arçelik-LG is getting closer to its vision of “To be the first choice in Air Conditioning” with its %50 domestic market share and its export to more than 50 countries in Europe, Middle-East, Africa and CIS.
