No. We don’t recommend any oil trap in our Multi V Tropical units. We are using three different kind of oil control mechanisms; Oil Return cycle that runs after every 6 hours, oil equalization line between two compressors and oil separator. With these 3 types of oil control mechanisms, we don’t recommend any oil trap for our Multi V tropical units.
If one unit noise is around 47dbA, then if we have two units then it will around 50dbA and in three units combination it will be around 52~53dbA. As the number of units goes high, noise gets dissipated with resonance and principle of interpolation averages will keep the noise at the optimum levels.
Yes. Multi V Tropical can be connected to AHU (Direct expansion type) and can be used as a medium for cooling & ventilation applications. This concept is actually under testing phase in domestic market. At present we don’t have any specific plan for overseas but if it comes then our marketing members will share with you.
Multi V Tropical has high heating efficiency as compared to cooling efficiency. In Korea, we have extreme winters when temperature falls near to -10? or -15?. So we have designed our system for high heating capacity as well. The heating efficiency for 10 HP Multi V Tropical is 4.30 & cooling efficiency is 3.81. Similarly, we have high heating efficiency in all other capacities also.
As of now, we have tested results of part load from 50%~100% . If you need this data we can provide you the data after testing the units in our laboratories. For detail please check appendix.
Certainly there will a de-aeration factor (capacity drop) if Multi V Tropical is installed on top or bottom of the building. For detail , check the below mentioned plot explaining the % pressure drop.

In the worst case, if it happens then it is sure that contaminated oil would be transferred to the another compressor working on the automatic backup mode. In this case oil contamination level can be decided manually (through eye) through ASTM D 1500 standard .In conclusion the transparency of oil decides whether it can be reuse or not. The most contaminated oil would show very low signs of transparency compare to pure oil. Check appendix for detail information.
Yes the discharge air pressure of the Multi V Plus II outdoor unit is 6 mm Aqua at 80 CMM air flow rate and it may vary between different capacity units. And similarly, we have different indoors which have their respective discharge pressure. If you need the detail we can provide you later.
In case of Multi V water, the outdoor units have to be installed in some mechanical room, which can be there on every floor of the building. So we do not need more than 50 m elevation. Even though we have 50m elevation still it can cover up to 15 floors if we have 3 meters height for each floor.
All our major competitors like Daikin also have 50 m elevation. As Multi V water also have the same compressor, cycle parts, PCB and other electronic parts like Multi V plus II , it can go up to 100 m but we have not tested it up to 100m. So we are not sure about the performance. Anyways, we are doing are testing for 100 m elevation as we receive many requests from overseas.
: In addition to oil injection mechanism , Multi V tropical system works in full load condition for 3 minutes after every six hours operation. During this operation the oil from indoor units return back to the system to maintain the appropriate oil level inside the compressor.
Yes. Multi V Plus II system is designed to work under ±15% voltage. If voltage fluctuates beyond the design range then inverter drive detects and activates voltage limitation control logic; finally turning off the unit.
Main difference : LG DC Inverter Multi V system consists of DC Inv Scroll + Constant comp.
compare to Toshiba which uses Twin DC Inv Rotary comp.
Actually, that noise is of the 4-way reversing valve. As we all know that during the defrosting operation, for some time the units start operating in cooling mode so that outdoor ice can be melted. During this the indoor fan is off and the 4-way reversing valve changes its direction of flow of refrigerant. So, in actually this is a sound of the valve and refrigerant flow in the indoor units. Its common in all the units and with all competitor’s product also.
In Multi V Plus II system, all units are originally master unit due to presence of DC Inverter Comp. But when we stack 2 or 3 units then we have to classify one unit as master and another 2 as slaves. In case there is PCB breakdown in master unit then plus II system would also collapse. We can recover from this situation immediately by switching over to another master unit. This can be done by changing the dip switch settings in the PCB board.
Normally the life of heat exchanger is 10 years but in case of sea area installation we generally suggest the life period to be around 5 years. We also perform salt spray test (360 Hrs.) on anti rust coated heat exchangers to check the corrosion amount. Even after 15 days (360 Hrs) of test there are no signs of pitting on LG heat exchangers. Bexco Centum Hotel is quite old reference site (around 5 years) so you can find few impressions of rust on the heat exchanger fins & unit. Also in Plus II unit we generally use gold fin heat ex. & stainless steel screws which are robust against corrosion. Check appendix for detail information
Multi V Plus II is very advanced technology with DC inverter compressor and inverter unit combination. Also, other issues like high elevation piping, black box , wide louver heat exchanger etc. have been added to Plus II as compare to Plus I.
No. Actually, at the start up all units inverter compressors starts at once and they run for sometime. Once the indoor load is calculated then the Master Inverter compressors starts first and then other inverter compressors and finally constant compressors. Now, once the cycle is completed next time the other inverter compressor will start and take the load and similarly alternate constant compressors will work and take the load. So this is how we make sure that compressors have long life.
In Multi V Plus II we have the black box function, which can retrieve last 3 minutes operation data before the error happened. We can download that data in our excel file and then we can analyze the system compatibility. Also, by using a special memory card, we can store and retrieve data maximum up to one month.
Yes. In single Plus II unit constant can act as back up for inverter & vice versa.
That is the uniqueness about inverter technology. The power consumption varies as per the indoor load conditions. So if one indoor is running then only that indoor’s power will be consumed as the compressor will run at low frequency as per the indoor load. So you don’t need worry for extra power consumption like conventional constant speed systems.
FDD function in Plus II can detect leakage of refrigerant outside the range of ±15%.Corresponding it can give you an error code. i.e. undercharge (in case of leakage) or overcharge (in case extra refrigerant).
Life of Multi V Plus II normally ranges from 15~20 years.
Yes. It is very much possible to have the piping both ways with outdoor unit either on the top or on the floor. The COP will be the same for both the cases. In case the height of the building is more than 100m then we can make one floor as the service floor. In this floor we can install the outdoors and then from that point we can run the pipes to upper and the lower floors.
Equivalent piping length means the piping length including the lengths of Y-Branch , bends etc. which we generally exclude while describing the total piping length. Basically these are the correction factors which is taken into consideration while calculating
It is always inverter compressor which starts in case of alternate cycling function. For both master as well as other outdoor units, always inverter compressor starts first and then the constant compressor starts. This all depends upon the fuzzy control logic to decide which unit constant compressor will start first & which later.
In the wide capacity range of Plus II ,10 HP has got the max COP in terms of cooling only & heat pump applications. Either way (less or more than 10HP) if we go then efficiency (COP) deteriorates .It is same with Daikin also.
In 3-digit 7 segment ; the error code with more than 2 digits would display in one time. Earlier in Plus I , 2-digit 7 segment used to display 3 digit error code 2 times. i.e. In Plus I , for error code 102 è First time display would be ’10’ followed by ‘2’ In Plus II , 102 would be displayed in one time.
No. Cooperation control logic enables optimum communication between indoor & outdoor unit. So it
applies to all the indoor units whether they are installed on same floor or different floors.
No. Night quiet operation works according to outside ambient temperature; depending upon the
selected mode (time frame) it changes the step of outdoor motor. The indoor unit doesn't get
affected by this operation.
Yes. You can use this function by setting of master indoor unit. All mode determine by master indoor unit.
Plus II system uses common (main) power line for all the stacked outdoor units.
Night quiet operation is actually both time based as well as it is also governed by outside ambient environment temperature.
We can use water shower/spray to clean dust from fins of the heat exchanger.
No. It is not like that. Although, multiple indoors are connected to a single outdoor but if one of the indoor unit fails then it will not affect the other indoor units which are functional. The failed indoor will stop with an error code message and rest of indoors will keep on working in their selected mode.
Actually, even if the 3 outdoor units are stacked but because of interpolation and resonance effect, the combined noise level of 3 units do not exceed more than 52~53 dBA. So the noise level is not a worry. And for the vibration, we do recommend the concrete beam, the channels and the anti vibration pads/rubbers to absorb that vibration. These all are in our standard installation guidebooks and we share all this information at the time of installation and commissioning of our units.
No. It is not possible. LG CAC system works on LGAP protocol which helps in communication between outdoor & indoor unit.
Normally , 1% of the produced Multi V lot goes for early life test.
Yes. Under this limitation outdoor unit can be installed anywhere i.e. either on the top or at the ground.
No. At present our MV system is designed to stack 3 outdoor units which can give up to 48HP capacity. This combination no. can go even up to 4 under special guidelines. But It is not possible to stack 5 MV outdoor units. Doing so it can impose problems related to high incoming current, high pressure built up, piping installation (i.e. common pipe ) etc. Moreover we are giving the same stacking limit when compared to our nearest competitor.
In actually, we have tested only up to these limits like maximum 15m between two indoor units and 100
maximum elevation. And we are providing the best piping network among our competitors. Our units
can work beyond these limits also, but we cannot be sure about the reliability as we have no test data
or reliability data as to what will be the capacity drop.
Multi V Water works on air to water application compare to conventional system (air to air application). Air to water application makes Multi V water installation flexible ,can be installed in the indoor premises without interaction with the outside ambient air. Also water is more efficient that air in terms of heat exchange. The energy losses reduced in this way make this application more efficient.
Check appendix for detail information.
As of now, we have tested results of part load from 50%~100% . If you need this data we can provide you the data after testing the units in our laboratories.
There are no such guidelines related to water changing duration. Mostly such guidelines are given in cooling towers working manual
Normally the life span of SC Heat/Ex is approximately 10~15 years (same as with the product life)
Multi V water development is still under pipeline for overseas market (European Market). At present Multi V water product price Is 18% higher than Multi V Plus II. But for Asian market the development plan & product price has yet to be settle down

Multi V water cooled system operates with cooling tower and boiler. It has Plate type heat exchanger. This is more efficient than grooved tube.
Please check appendix for detail information.
Yes. We can use it but the capacity of cooling tower must match the total capacity of Multi V water system.
Generally for closed type cooling tower , the ph rate (at 25C) of circulating water must be in range 7.0 ~ 8.0 . If the pH value goes below 6.5 then water can be acidic, corrosive resulting in high fouling factor.
Yes. We can use cooling towers from some other companies. Moreover, LG is not into the cooling towers or boilers
business yet. So we can use the cooling towers from other companies after checking its total compliance
The system does not control water pressure. The system can detect water flowing with water outlet temperature from the heat exchanger
Please check appendix for detail information
Multi V water system uses plate type heat exchanger (PHE) because it gives higher COP compare to shell & tube type. As far as dust accumulation is concerned then shell & tube type is better than PHE. We can overcome this dust problem by using filtered water through water treatment process. Additionally we can use closed type cooling towers to make water dust free for longer time .
There is no de-aeration factor (capacity drop) if Multi V Tropical is installed on top or bottom of the building.
The system has no circulating pump. Water flow depends on the system of main circulating pumps.
Yes, actually we have already developed this system and we are right now doing testing this model in our R&D and in domestic market. We have a plan to launch this product in the overseas market by the end of this year or as late as 1st quarter 2009.
We have no calculation device in our multi-V water unit . But if owner of building want to calculate water
consumption by each tenant then we have to attach water consumption device besides our unit .i.e. We can attach water flow meter on water-in pipe (multi V Water Unit) to calculate individual water flow rate.
We can use common cooling tower to run chiller as well as multi V water system, in case of remodeling or up gradation of present air-conditioning system .Here have to make sure that the capacity of cooling tower matches the multi V water system. Also it is recommended to use closed type cooling tower.
Reason
Multi V water system uses plate type heat exchanger. The water path (hydraulic diameter) in plate type heat exchanger is quite narrowly designed .So there is probability that dust infiltrating from open type cooling tower can obstruct the inside path further increasing the water pressure level. So it is recommended to use closed type cooling tower.
No, we cannot have such type of combination. In actually, Multi V water is heat exchange of water and air in the outdoor. From outdoor to indoor it is the same refrigerant cycle like normal VRF systems. In FCU the indoors are also water based cooling system, so we do not have compatibility of Multi V water outdoor and FCU. These two have different technology altogether.
Temperature of water ranges from 10 to 45?. In summer effective water in-pipe temperature could be 30?.In winter it should be 20? .
Yes. There is by-pass mode .In case you don’t want to use total heat exchange mode then you can switchover to by-pass mode to supply fresh air from ambient environment.
ECO V is designed to work under outdoor temp conditions i.e. -10C ~ 45C . if outdoor temp gets higher than 45C then the system will run on partial mode. Partial mode means that Supply Air (SA) fan will be off to prevent the sudden increase of indoor air temperature. Exhaust Air (EA) fan will also run on low speed mode. Once the outside temp. comes down the system would work in normal (full) mode.
There will be certainly increase in indoor temp. The % increase cannot be calculated here because air conditioner is continuously running making the indoor air temp. low and less humid.
Yes. We certainly have a plan to launch the Dx eco V globally. However, we have two products in the pipe line.
a) eco V + Dx coil ( expected date of launch `09 July )
b) eco V + Dx coil + Humidifier ( expected date of launch `09 end )
About 2nd Question, No. The SA temperature cannot be controlled by the Dx coil as it is not a strong coil to make temperature changes. Room temperature can only be controlled by the separate indoor air conditioning unit. Dx eco V will only facilitate in fresh air ventilation or extra humidification.
In Eco V we have high end and low end models. As eco V provides the total heat exchange including latent as well as sensible, so our high end models provide 70% recovery and low end provides 55~60% heat recovery. Check Appendix for detail information
Eco V filter has a dust collection efficiency above 80%,which is 0.3um sample particle. Even it works effectively against floating particles of yellow sand. We also offer high efficiency optional filter with dust collection efficiency above 99%.
Normally the life of filter is same with the life span of indoor units. Also our filters can be easily washed by water and can be reused. We generally recommend to wash the filter once in 2 months. Check appendix.
We do not have same exact heat exchanger like in eco V. But we can connect our roof tops with Economizer. This economizer serves the purpose of enthalpy heat exchanger for the Roof top. But this is an optional feature for the roof top units. You have to order for that. Its not an in built feature.
Yes. ECO V can be installed outside the application area. For this we need to take care few precautions
a) The System should be installed in an enclosure (closed installation) so that it should not be exposed to open atmosphere.
Factors affecting outside open installation.
? In winters outside cold air can increase the ?T (temp difference between OA & RA) ultimately leading
to dew formation.
? Rain water could damage the outer body leading to malfunctioning of the system.
? Continues exposure to sunlight may increase the return air temperature, further increasing the inside temperature.
b) Outside installation could decrease height of false ceiling (indoor) ultimately increasing the room space .The fresh air could be discharged inside the room by extending duct from RA port of ECO V system up to the indoor area
ECO V works independently with increase or decrease of relative humidity.
The capacity of eco V installed here is 250CMH.As you can see there are many diffusers (for supply in & return air port) in this apartment. During FE3 stage (commissioning) we generally test the average air volume of each supply air port .This average air volume must be equal to the standard air ventilation capacity of eco V.
Side way discharge in space II unit prevents any possibility of recirculation of discharge air even if the buildings are facing opposite to each other.
No. Both suction & discharge uses separate louvers to prevent air short circuit problem in Space II unit. So in any case, the discharge air cannot be mixed with suction air in the normal operating conditions.
Multi V Space II unit is designed at low sound pressure level. i.e. around 40dBA.The front suction/discharge keeps the noise flow towards the outer side, making the indoor environment very quiet.
The capacity range available with Multi V space II is 5 , 6 , 8, 10 HP for cooling only models. And yes with 10 HP model we can connect up to 96kBtu indoor units, so I think this is big enough of capacity to be connected in a big apartment.
In general, Multi V Space is checked in the noise (anechoic) test chambers (inside LG factory) for noise and other vibration test data. Simultaneously, competition's product is checked and compare with LG product.
CFD analysis is done normally for 3 weeks. More detailed information can make the simulation more precise and effective. It will sometimes shorten the simulation period
Multi V Space II in Heat Pump will be launched at this year
For 10HP Model, under standard operating conditions Sound Pressure Level in Space II unit is 49dBA(backward) & 62dBA(forward) direction. Sound further reduces (goes 40dBAv)when the machine room is locked .The above data is normally our product test data mentioned in our product data books
In our Whisen Park we have gone up to 200 m for the underground piping but its not necessary to go in all cases. It depends upon the capacity of the system and also the installation area where it has to be installed. If we have large area, we can go up to 30m in vertical and then install the pipes horizontally with bends and loops. You can choose whatever way you want.
The geothermal support will be provided by a specialist. Geothermal out sourcing company. But LG will provide with all the needed technical support in the installation but the main work has to be done by an out sourcing specialized company.
LNG is a mixture of 4-5 gases, but the main contents are Methane- 90% ; Ethane- 9% and other gases in very small quantities.
Yes. Power consumption would be reduced in case one of the of the compressor steps down during MPS (Tropical ) operation.
No. Actually the Hot gas by pass system is to protect the overheating of the system. Sometimes, due to high ambient temperature the compressor discharge temperature rises abnormally high. And such high discharge temperature may burn out the compressor and effect the cycle stability. So, hot gas by pass is there to by pass the compressor discharge heat so that cycle / system may not be affected. Its is a kind of protective function rather than energy saving function.
Yes. We have different diameter in case of MPS tropical as we are using the BD units. From the outdoor, a single pipe goes to BD unit and from the BD unit the piping is divided and goes to individual units. So, the gas/liquid pipe diameter is certainly more than that of Multi M and Multi F, where individual pipe goes to each indoor unit from the outdoor unit.
For Sudan market, we generally sell 100kBtu models. 100kBtu outdoor has 4 compressors with 2 cycles. And each cycle has its individual control and connectivity. So in 4 room connectivity, if only one room Indoor is working then only one compressor of I cycle will be on and other compressor will be off. And also, the 2nd cycle will remain off because its indoors are off. So, effectively it is running at 25% load. Its same like your individual Single CAC unit. Rather in MPS you save the cost of additional outdoors and also gets more high piping elevations of MPS system.
Moreover compare to single A system MPS Multi has big size condenser for multi evaporators. In case of partial load operation (individual MPS cycle) big size condensing coil helps in decreasing the high pressure making it more energy efficient.
For detail please check the appendix.
Yes. It's quite possible in multi inverter units to change the factory settings by changing the factory DIP Switch settings and you can reset as per your conditions.
They both have the same U3 Chassis. But the technology is different for both Fdx and Multi V mini. In Fdx we use twin rotary compressor but in Multi V mini its Scroll compressor. Also the total piping length with Fdx is 145 m but for Multi V mini its 300m.
Most of our Outdoor units comes with SVC valve covers but if you want all of your outdoor units’ SVC valves covered then you can specially ask for those covers at the time of ordering the units and we can supply the outdoor with covers.
What LG provides only the product and we can give the product cost details. The installation costs varies from one place to other. So its up to the project managers to decide and discuss the installation costs with the Installers. LG can help in installation process but cannot decide and tell the installation cost on its own.
We can connect the ACP with the internet by typing the IP address of the ACP and then we can log in with that IP address on internet and can access our ACP.
Our controllers not only communicate with LG CAC products like Multi V etc but also can communicate with other
applications like safety alarms, energy saving sensors, fire alarms etc. used for different purposes.
Yes. We can consign room location corresponding to address of indoor unit while doing manual addressing in ACP system. So, at any time the installer can locate the position of room.
We can connect up to 16 ACPs in series and form ACP manager platform. ACP manager further can control up to 4096(16 X 256 = 4096) indoor units
Yes. It's quite possible to connect our Multi V outdoor units to LG BNU units like Lonworks or Bacnet and then we can connect these units via router to BMS . We need to apply LonWorks or Bac Net protocol to have a compatibility between the LG outdoor units and other appliances
No. That indoor unit will not be charged for any electricity. We use our PDI control system which can calculate individual power consumption of each working indoor unit.
We calculate the load of individual indoor units based on the following formula :
- Power consumption of each indoor unit = Power consumption of outdoor unit × [ Weighting power of each indoor unit / Weighting power of total indoor units]
- Weighting power of each indoor unit = Operation (On/Off) × [ Capacity of indoor unit × EEV open rate × Fan step of indoor unit ]
wattmeter we can charge the individual room consumption. Our PDI acts just as a Power Distributor. So, based on its logic it will actually divide the power and then wattmeter will give us power reading. It is quite accurate.
Yes. In actually, if you have to take the print out of the PDI readings and keep it for your record you have to connect it to either ACP or AC manger. PDI alone cannot give you the print out. So its very much possible that we can connect the PDI with ASP and can retrieve the data in excel and take a print of that.
Yes. PDI can work (connect) with local wattmeter to calculate individual power consumption by tenant.
In case of fan mode, the customer will have to pay less energy as still the electricity is consumed in running the fan mode. So even if the indoor is running in fan mode, the electricity consumed is calculated as the power is still consuming, Fan Step of Indoor is there, indoor On/Off time is there. But yes, consumer will pay less than others.
LG can support with PDI which can calculate individual & cumulative load of indoor units (A/C) connected to single outdoor unit. PDI can cover only air conditioner among digital appliances .
This building is being used for both residential & office applications. So some rooms share single outdoor unit and PDI is additionally installed to avoid electricity cost issue.
Yes. PDI can be connected to single outdoor unit as well as with complete system comprising 2 or 3 outdoor unit. We can connect up to 48 indoor units with 1 PDI. But it cannot be installed with 2
different Plus II units stacked/installed separately.
In a group control, the LED display of the SCC will blink in red for that particular indoor. In the FCC, it will additionally show the error code as well as the LED display. So its easy troubleshooting with it.
Home Net use 2-core cable in form of RS-485 (through PI-485 PCB) for communication purpose.
No. Home Net couldn't be utilized to calculate individual load of digital appliances. Instead of it we can support you with PDI which can calculate individual load of each indoor (A/C) unit connected to single outdoor unit.
Yes. Generally our home net is developed for LG appliances & works on LGAP protocol. But it is possible to use with non LG appliances also. In this case the customer has to request beforehand .
No.
Closing one of the vane would not affect the overall capacity of cassette type application. ¼ proportion of air which would get affected would be distributed among the remaining three discharge outlets
No.
Yes. We have even given detachable corners for regular diagnosis of drain pump. For your convenience we have given servicing method in the product service manual & in PDB.
Please check appendix for detail information.
Actually Australia and South Africa are the two nations where we are providing the special ducts. Because the energy efficiency requirements for these countries is totally different than the rest of the world. So we have to meet the standards astheir norms. Accordingly we have to design and manufacture special units
No. You don’t need to disassemble the whole unit, you can have the access from the top and bottom side. From there you can disassemble the fan blower. Check Appendix.
Max. allowable ceiling height ? 4m (13.12 ft from ground level).
Yes. Auto elevation grille is available for both single as well as Multi inverter units. However, it is an accessory and not an in built feature for this product. You have to specially order for the auto elevation grille.
No. The timing is fixed, it will beep after 100 days (2400 hours) of power plug being inserted and its not operating time. Once we clean the filter, we can turn off the alarm light from the wired remocon or it will automatically turn off after 50 hours.
Yes. Chassis is similar but not compatible. And model name is different for Plus II, Multi, Single type outdoor units.
Yes. New 4-way cassette has independent vane control function. Sound level would be similar if operated under 1-way/2-way/3-way discharge. Below mentioned is the R&D data based upon which we can conclude the sound level at different discharge type. Check Appendix.
No. In Multi V, we are using high capacity DC inverter scroll compressor, so we can achieve high efficiency in Multi V with this high end technology. But in single CAC, we do not use such high end compressors, so we cannot achieve the same efficiency as that of Multi V.
We do not have the RAC DC Inverter comparison with Samsung. In the global market Samsung is not our main competitor like Daikin, Panasonic. We compare our products with Samsung for the local market and we have found our products to more efficient than any other competitor including Daikin.
Yes. We still have that patent for our Art cool units.
This is the standard guideline for the Artcool installation, we should keep a minimum space of 10 cm from the ceiling. If we keep less space, then there will be insufficient airflow that will effect the efficiency of our system. This is minimum distance we keep with all our indoor units. And also, if we keep space less than 10 cm then the dust from the ceiling and vicinity will settle on the inlet grille and may damage it. So we keep the standard space of 10 cm for better efficiency and to prevent it from dust.
Yes, sure. We can provide both wireless and wired remote controller with our wall mounted split type units. Any time, you can order your nearest distributor or can contact the local LGEUK person to purchase these wired remote controllers.
The size is big as the ventilation type of AHU has big components like enthalpy wheel and also the heat exchanger is of big size. So because of this the size of this type of AHU is bigger than the general chiller type AHU.
Yes. For big complexes we can offer you Direct expansion AHU type solution where in you can connect AHU with Multi V plus II outdoor. Right now we are doing our Test Run for AHU in domestic market and we have a plan to launch AHU in overseas market as early as possible.
No. AHU is developed as an OEM product for overseas market. The quality standards for AHU development are same as being used for other LG commercial products . For your reference, we can also provide you AHU + Multi V Plus standard installation guide.
After product development, it will be launched first in the local (Korea) market followed by overseas. In local market we would first check product reliability & performance followed by a through check with commissioning agent.
Yes. It is possible to make a application with AWHP for heating the water or ground floor.
Check appendix for detail system layout.
At present, AWHP was developed for French market and have been running. Sales would be expanded to other European countries.
We can go as high as 55 degrees Celsius with our AWHP system and we can offer more temperature with additional electric heaters we provide with our system.
As if now , both AHU and Cogen are in the testing phase in the domestic market. As soon as we finish up with our testing, we will launch it in the overseas market.
LNG is a mixture of 4-5 gases, but the main contents are Methane- 90% ; Ethane- 9% and other gases in very small quantities.
No. At present we can access only 2D CAD drawings through LATS Multi V.
Yes. We can access accessories (i.e. controllers) through LATS Multi V design software.
Yes. In actually, you have to become the member of our official website. Once you become the member of this website then you can have access to our website material and you can download this LATS software from there. Its free of charge.
Yes, we have two functions with our LATS, it can give you the model selection as well as it will calculate the load of the building also. If you are expert in the CAD, then you can further design your project with the help of LATS software. This program is available on our website and you first become a member of this website and then you can download this software from there.
This waterfall has many purpose during the production of our units.
a) It keeps the area around that workplace dust free and air remains clean
b) It also humidify that particular area as we need humidification for a specific process on the line.
i.e. It prevents the transfer of electrostatic charge from worker to the controller circuit.
c) Importantly, this waterfall creates a wonderful ambience around the line worker. This acts as a stress buster for the line
worker and creates good working environment. So it has some psychological importance too
Yes. We check our units for all of these parameters while in the R&D and also during the Quality Control testing. We have specially designed laboratories where we perform our units against transportation damages. We call it transportation or drop test, where the unit is tested for its reliability during transportation. Also , in ELT labs we create such real life conditions where we can see the reliability of its packing against dust particles. Once approved, only then our units are shipped.
It normally takes 13 ~18 mins (ST) depending upon type of model and kind of tests to be performed. Check Appendix for detail information.
LG Air conditioning company has the TCP certification. With this certificate, we can test our products in our own labs and also certify them in our own labs. With this certificate, we do not need any 3rd party to certify our products and test results. We have all the necessary certificates like TCP, EEC, TUV etc. that enables us to test and certify our products and sell them in any part of the world.
We follow all the standards which is required to sell our products in respective countries like ARI, ASHRAE and also other standards. We follow the guidelines for each of these standards and make our units compatible as per these standards.
In actually, we have special drain pipe and pumps in our indoors which are powerful enough to lift water from the indoor and send it to a big common drain pipe and from that big drain pipe we can drain the water out or where ever we want to. Similarly for the outdoors, we generally install our outdoor near the common drain pipe where it is easy to drain the outdoor water along with common drain pipe.
Although we work strictly as per our CAC Biz process where in we are involved from the day one of the project so that our ACs are perfectly installed with best piping networks. Your proposal where in you have already built more than half of the building seems to be difficult. But still we can help you out if you can send us the detailed drawing. We still can discuss in detail with our R&D for the best solution that we can provide.
Daikin, by all means is our nearest competitor and also a quality brand in the market. So for the CAC leadership, we compete with a major company like Daikin. The other companies have neither such large market share nor they are seen as big brand or have strong equity in the CAC market. So , we don’t see them as our near competitor. Daikin is our main competitor.
We calculate and measure the COP of our units in our own labs and testify them. We have got TCP certification, which authorizes us to testify and certify our products in our own labs. This COP is measured at standard testing conditions. As far as load is concerned, we calculate the COP at both full load and the partial load conditions. First at full load and then at the different range from 50%~100%. For some units we go even for 130% combination also.
We have already tested the capacity ratings with our Gold Fin Heat Exchanger. Yes, there can be a capacity drop with the usage of Gold Fin heat exchanger but that is only 2-3% ( Heat Exchanger only ). With this small heat exchange capacity drop, there is no or very little cooling capacity drop of the air conditioning. So we do not have much capacity drop with the usage of Gold fin type rather it improves the life of the fin and also makes it more endurable.
Yes, it can happen that PDB and software result may not match at times. In such situations, you should follow up the PDB data as it is more reliable and tested part. As far as the LATS load calculation reference is concerned, we follow global standards that are applicable all over the world. We follow the load calculation procedure as per various ASHRAE standards and also we take into account the CLTD/SCL/CLF method while designing LATS load calculation software.
